Risk shifting
When the supplier sends goods to the consumer, the risk of loss or damage passes to the consumer as soon as he or a designated person has received them. However, if the consumer chooses his own carrier rather than the one offered by the supplier, the risk passes to the consumer as soon as the goods are delivered to the carrier.
