Starver® X is a safe, high-performance product designed to remove phosphates from swimming pools, particularly when phosphate concentrations are high.
One litre of Starver® X removes more than 6,000 ppb (6 ppm) of phosphates in a 50 m³ swimming pool. It is a targeted treatment designed to reduce high phosphate levels effectively.
General Instructions
If algae are present, it is recommended to treat them first using a long-lasting algaecide before beginning phosphate removal.
- Clean the filter or backwash it, and ensure that the pool water is properly balanced.
- Shake the container thoroughly before use.
- Slowly add the required amount of Starver® X to the pool water, directly in front of the skimmer inlet.
- Immediately after adding Starver® X, it is recommended to place one Lo-Chlor Miraclear Clarifier Pool Cube directly into the skimmer basket. Adding a Miraclear Pool Clarifier Cube helps reduce the cloudiness that may occur during phosphate removal.
- Run the pump and filtration system for 24 hours. Check the filter pressure regularly and backwash if necessary.
- Test the phosphate level in the pool water at least 24 hours after treatment.
- If necessary, repeat the treatment until phosphate levels reach the recommended range. For faster results, Starver® X can be reapplied every 24 hours.
After treatment, check the phosphate levels in your pool regularly to maintain effective water quality management.
