Spa Leak Sealer is a concentrated product designed to seal small leaks in swimming pools. It can be used to seal leaks in either the pool walls or the pipework. Please note that this product must not be used when the water temperature in the hot tub or spa is below 6°C.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove the cartridge filter or, if you have a sand filter, turn the multiport valve to the BYPASS position before adding the product.
- With the pump running, slowly add the required dose of Spa Leak Sealer through the skimmer or in front of any other suction inlet.
- Spa Leak Sealer is very heavy and will settle at the lowest point, which in most cases will be beneath the main drain. Therefore, the product must be stirred every 45 minutes while the water is circulating.
- Allow the water to circulate for at least 3 hours. Then check whether the leak has decreased and monitor the water level. If the leak has decreased, continue running the system for a further 3 hours.
- Once the leak has stopped, switch off the pump and allow any residue to settle on the bottom. The residue can then be removed using a suitable spa vacuum cleaner.
- Reinstall the cartridge filters and run the system for 45 minutes. Then remove the cartridge filters and rinse them thoroughly with fresh water to remove any product residue.
- Once the leak has stopped, it is recommended that the spa be drained and left empty for at least 48 hours to allow the product to take effect.
The leak may decrease after a single application. In this case, we recommend a second application.
