Salt Cell Cleaner is specially formulated to remove limescale deposits from the cell of a saltwater chlorination system. It does not damage the system’s metal components. It can also be used to remove limescale deposits from swimming pool covers.
General Instructions
Cleaning the Salt Chlorinator Cell
-
Switch off the pump, filter, and salt chlorination system.
-
Remove the cell from the salt chlorination system.
-
For best results, wash or rinse the cell with clean, warm water.
-
Fully immerse the cell in a clean plastic container filled with Salt Cell Cleaner.
-
Leave it to soak for 10–15 minutes, or until the cell appears clean.
-
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and reinstall the cell in the salt chlorination system.
-
Although Salt Cell Cleaner can be reused, a fresh solution is recommended for optimal results.
Important Precautions
Salt Cell Cleaner is an acidic product. After treatment, always check the pool water balance and adjust it if necessary.
Any other acid-sensitive pool components or surfaces, such as marble, chrome, stainless steel, aluminium, and enamel, should be covered during application, cleaning, and rinsing to protect them from potential staining or damage.
If your system operates in an area with hard water, we recommend using No More Scale in combination with Salt Cell Cleaner to help prevent further scale buildup.
