Leak Sealer is specially formulated to seal small leaks in swimming pools where water loss does not exceed 2.5 cm per day in a 60 m³ pool. It is not recommended for sealing damaged or worn pool liner surfaces.
General Instructions
Note: Do not use Leak Sealer when the pool water temperature is below 6°C.
- Switch off the pool pump and remove any automatic pool cleaner from the water.
- Set the filter to BY-PASS or RECIRCULATE mode. If neither setting is available, remove the cartridge filter before treatment.
Important: Leak Sealer may block pool jets. If the jets cannot be removed before use, do not use this product. - Add Leak Sealer at the recommended dosage of 1 litre per 60,000 litres of pool water. There are two methods for applying Leak Sealer, depending on the location of the leak..
(Α) Leaks in the Pool Surface: If possible, identify the leak location and apply the product directly to that area. Otherwise, distribute the product evenly around the pool.
(Β) Leaks in the Pipework: Add the correct dosage directly into the skimmer. Place a suction hose at the deepest point of the pool and ensure that the hose contains no air before application. - If you are unsure where the leak is located, use Method B.
- Wait 30 minutes, then switch on the pump. Allow the pump to run for at least 8 hours.
- Mark the water level and check it again after 24 hours.
- Allow any residue to settle for up to 6 hours, then vacuum the pool.
For larger pools, or if water loss has decreased but the leak has not been completely sealed, a second application may be necessary.
